This is what Healthcare Volunteer Uganda –HVU does:

  • Economic empowerment to the caregivers of the vulnerable children, this is done ine groups of 30 members.

  • Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision (VMMC) men 15 years and above. We do this activity by mobilizing men using Male champions and refer those in need of the service to partners.
  • Economic empowerment to adolescent girls and young women and men 13-24 years.
  • Camping with a view to addressing Gender related issues associated with HIV/AIDS.
  • Education support to the vulnerable children. This is mainly inform of scholastic materials, Lunch, Sanitary wear and school tuition.
  • Provision of apprenticeship and vocational training skills to the most vulnerable children.
  • Provision of food/nutrition support to the vulnerable children and their poverty ridden caregivers.
  • We identify, link, follow up using telephone calls reminder to caregivers of HIV positive children 0-19 yrs: as one way to keep them into care (for retention)
